This Privacy Policy explains what information Pet District, LLC ("Pet District," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to petdistrict.care, our online booking system, our text and email messages, and our Patterson and Thibodaux locations. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you book, register, or contact us, we may collect:
Your details: name, phone number, email, mailing address, and emergency contact
Your pet's details: name, breed, age, photos, vaccination records, veterinarian, medications, health conditions, diet, and behavior notes
Payment details: card information, which our payment processor handles and stores. We do not keep full card numbers on our own systems.
Messages: what you send us by text, email, phone, or through our website forms
Information collected automatically. When you visit petdistrict.care, our website platform (Squarespace) and Google Analytics may collect your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. This happens through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from others. Your veterinarian may send us your pet's records at your request.
2. How We Use and Share Your Information
How we use it. We use your information to:
Book and manage reservations, and care for your pet safely
Contact you about your pet, your appointments, and your account
Process payments and keep records
Send updates and promotions, if you've agreed to receive them
Improve our website and services, and meet legal requirements
Who we share it with. We share information only as needed to run our business:
Service providers that work for us, such as our booking, marketing, messaging system (Gingr), our website platform (Squarespace), and our payment processor. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Veterinarians, when your pet needs care while staying with us
Legal authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the safety of people or pets
We may use photos of pets in our care on our website and social media, as described in our Terms and Conditions. We don't publish owner names or contact details with those photos.
3. Text Messages
When you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, we may text you about appointments, your pet's stay, and account matters. With your consent, we may also send promotional offers. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. This excludes service providers that help us deliver messages to you, such as our messaging platform.
4. Your Choices and Other Details
Cookies. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies. If you do, some parts of the website may not work properly. Our site may also show a cookie banner where you can set your preferences.
Your choices. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us. We may need to keep some records, such as vaccination and payment records, for safety, legal, or business reasons. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email. To stop texts, reply STOP.
Security and retention. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and afterward as long as we need it for legal or business purposes.
Children. Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Other websites. Our site links to other sites, including our online booking portal and social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date.
